Food trucks are growing in popularity nationwide. Although food trucks are not a new concept to the Kansas and Missouri area, we know that this could be your first time exploring the idea of a food truck catering an event. Below we have compiled some of the most frequently asked questions to help you through that process. + WHERE CAN WE TRACK YOU DOWN?

More than any other question, this one tops the list.

We do have specific public outings and calendar dates set aside for serving the streets of the Kansas City Metro area. However, a vast majority of our services are geared for private events. To ensure you do not miss out on our public appearances, it’s best to follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we will post all of public outings well in advance. @meltboxkc on all major social media networks.

+ How do we book an event?

We ask that all inquiries be placed through our Event Inquiry form found here on the website. This will get you the most prompt and accurate quote back for your event request. There is also link at the bottom of the page.

+ what's on the menu?

Depending on the type of event, we offer scoops of delicious ice cream in a cup and our signature menu item, the Melt Monster. You can read about the Melt Monster and see the wide range of flavors, toppings and sauces we have to offer on our expanded [MENU]

+ do you have dairy-free and gluten-free options?

Many of our flavors, if not most, are gluten free. As for dairy-free, we do carry 1-2 dairy free options on board while serving events.

+ what type of events can/do you cater to?

The answer is, YES.

We serve any and all types of events. Wedding, corporate event, birthday party, family reunion, school events, employee appreciation, festivals, and so many more. Each type of event can be subject to its own price point and available options.

+ what does it cost to have you at my event?

Great question! We wish we could offer a simple and easy single flat fee for our events. However, event costs can vary by the expected number of attendees, date, time, location and how the event would be hosted. Please fill out an Event Inquiry form and we can deliver specific rates for your event.

+ I want to book you. What are my options?

You can request our services for both private and public events. Event options can come in a few different forms. Fees, group rates and minimums can vary depending on specific factors. Please fill out an Event Inquiry form and we will be in touch to walk you through some available options.

+ what's the difference between a private and public event?

Private events will typically be hosted and paid for by one individual or group which is held for invite-only guests. A public event can be hosted, but the payment is handled by the customer directly. There of course are some instances where we could see a blend of both private and public options by way of payment and or type of guest services. Feel free to fill out an Event Inquiry form and we can walk you through the selection.

+ do you serve year round?

YES! As long as the truck can drive on the roads to get there we can be there!

+ what forms of payment do you accept?

For our public outings we accept cash and card. For private events we can accept all forms of payment including cash, card and check.

+ how soon can we book an event?

The sooner the better! We can book up to two years out. Our Spring and Summer weekend dates (Friday-Sunday) will typically be filled 6-10 months out. We do fill our calendar on a first-to-book basis. If you have requested a quote for an event, but have not yet committed, we do our absolutle best to inform you of groups who have additional interest in that date/time.
